Workforce Council

The MediaMKRS Workforce Council brings together industry leaders dedicated to fostering a more equitable and inclusive talent pipeline for careers in media and entertainment. As a member, you will have the opportunity to shape workforce readiness standards, engage with emerging talent, and collaborate with peers across media and entertainment.

Membership Criteria:

To be a part of the MediaMKRS Workforce Council, organizations must actively contribute to workforce development by engaging with us in at least two of the following ways:

  • Investing in the industry by making a financial commitment through:

    • Direct support to Reel Works

    • Funding a MediaMKRS training program

    • Providing a paid internship opportunity for emerging talent or sponsoring an intern at $2,000

    • In-kind support of $1,000 or more toward a MediaMKRS program

  • Participating in employee engagement and volunteer opportunities, such as:

    • Hosting workplace tours for Reel Works participants

    • Offering mock interviews, resumes, and/or portfolio reviews

    • Providing mentorship or guest speaking at Reel Works events

  • Engage in biannual 1:1 Meetings to maintain ongoing communication as engagement needs change and provide industry insight to help inform MediaMKRS’ future initiatives

    • One held at the MediaMKRS Summit during our Executive Breakfast

    • One dedicated strategy session to discuss workforce development initiatives + other employee engagement opportunities 

This membership is valid for one calendar year and renewable annually.

  • Early access to MediaMKRS Alumni for hiring consideration

  • Access to private Reel Works engagements such as networking events, screenings, etc.
