Host An Intern

Reel Futures Media Interns (RFMI) are college students who have completed rigorous work-readiness training and are prepared to contribute meaningfully to your team.

As a host site, you'll have access to motivated and prepared emerging talent who bring fresh perspectives and a strong foundation in industry-relevant skills.

    • Whether your company has a structured internship program or not, the MediaMKRS RFMI team will work with your hiring managers to create a job description and determine the skills you require in a candidate. We’ll work with your calendar as well as your staffing needs to provide candidates year-round.

    • Fair pay is a core value of our program. No one should have to work for free anymore to get a start in media—and most of our students couldn’t afford to. We ask all host sites to pay interns at least the NYC minimum wage or work with us to create a sliding-scale model that helps offset the cost. If direct payment isn’t feasible, we can subsidize intern salaries, but we ask our partners to invest in our mission in other meaningful ways—whether that’s providing mentorship, donating equipment or space, or hosting students for a career tour. 

    • We make it easy to find the right intern for your organization. Our team curates a list of candidates based on your needs, availability, and interest.

    • MediaMKRS provides ongoing, individualized support throughout the internship experience. Our team checks in regularly with both the intern and their supervisor to ensure alignment, address any challenges, and support a successful placement.

    • At the conclusion of the internship, we’ll gather feedback from your team to evaluate outcomes, celebrate successes, and identify opportunities for improvement. Our goal is to build a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership that grows with your talent needs.  Potential host sites are reviewed on a regular basis.
