Art/Costume Coordinator Training

In partnership with the I.A.T.S.E. Local 829 United Scenic Artists, Reel Works is hosting an intensive training program to prepare New Yorkers with the essential skills needed to work successfully in film and television productions as an Art or Costume Department Coordinator.

What does it cost?

  • There is no fee for this program. Each trainee is paid to participate.

Who should apply?

  • Be at least 21+ years of age 

  • High school diploma or equivalent and not enrolled in full-time education

  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Be a New York State Resident within a 50-mile radius of Columbus Circle (2 hours max).

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills 

  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to spreadsheets, word processing, and photo layout. 

  • A real passion for Art and Costumes, regardless of previous experience

    Additional Requirements: 

    Some exposure to the Art OR Costume Department in the form of Art PA OR Costume PA experience in tv, film, theater, or other live performances, Art History OR Fashion History type courses at school or college
