Locations Assistant Training

In partnership with the Theatrical Teamsters Local 817 and supported by funding through the New York Entertainment Workforce Diversity Grant Program, and Amazon, Reel Works, and LaGuardia Community College are hosting an intensive training program to prepare New Yorkers with the essential skills needed to work successfully as a Locations Assistant in the entertainment industry.

What does it cost?

There is no fee for this program. Each trainee is paid to participate.

Who should apply?

Training Eligibility Requirement::

  • 18+ years old 

  • Eligible to work in the US

  • Be able to provide proof of residency in NY State within a 2-hour commuting distance of NYC

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Strong time management skills

  • Comfortable with travel and navigation

Preferred, but not required

  • Experience sourcing locations for filming or events

  • On-set experience
